A walkthrough of the Reports hub, including how to generate reports and export your data.1. Navigating to the Reports Hub
Click Reports in the top navigation bar. You'll see five report categories:
- Circulation Reports — Track checkouts, returns, and collection trends
- Collection Reports — Analyze your book inventory
- Student Activity — See reading and engagement data
- Guardian Reports — View parent/guardian account activity
- Administrative — System-level reports and data
Each category contains specific report types you can generate.

2. Generating a Report
Step 1: Select a Report Category
Click on a category — for example, Circulation Reports — to expand its options. You'll see types like Collection Growth and Flagged Books.
Step 2: Click Generate Report
Select the report type you want, then click Generate Report. A dialog will appear where you can:
- Give your report a name
- Select which libraries to include (school library, classroom libraries, or both)
- Choose your preferred format
Teachers: You'll have the option to select which specific libraries (school or classroom) to include in the report.

Critical for Board Approvals: If you are generating a report for a Board Meeting or District Audit, you must generate it from the Main School Library dashboard. Classroom-level reports are designed for individual teachers and may not contain the full compliance data required for high-level audits.
3. Exporting Your Report Data
In the Generate Report dialog, look at the Format dropdown. You can export your report as:
- CSV — Simple comma-separated file, great for data analysis
- Excel (XLSX) — Full spreadsheet with formatting support
- PDF — Print-ready document for sharing or filing
Tip: Use CSV if you need to crunch numbers in a spreadsheet, but always select PDF for official reports to your School Board. It prevents formatting errors and looks professional.
4. Reviewing Past Reports
The My Reports tab keeps a history of reports you've previously generated, so you can always go back and re-download or review them.

Tip: Export reports regularly to keep your stakeholders informed and to maintain records for compliance purposes.
